Those are some questions I struggle with. I guess for me, neither of those would be totally overrated. Most people I meet tend to focus on one of those and really run with it! I guess, depending on which one you put all your energy towards, that is the most overrated one.
All of those seem important in the end and affect each other intimately just because of the nature of our lives in a place such as Australia. Coming from another country where the social stigmas are completely different, things like focusing on relationships, your career or self-improvement would be a luxury. I guess one thing to do is keep in mind that we do live in some sort of seclusion.
Right now, I think my focus is on all three of the above! I’m trying to set up a “career” (which isn’t really about climbing a typical ladder though), trying to make and maintain close friendships and working relationships, as well as trying to be my best (and I’m not talking academically or physically).
Interesting fact about me: I created a list of attributes earlier this year to work towards – Awareness, knowledge, outlook, love, innovation, initiative, perserverence, flexibility, humanity and having a sense of humour.
